Sharon Lipford has over thirty (30) years of leadership in nonprofit, hospital and government organizations. She brings extensive leadership with strategic, policy and operations in the aging, behavioral health, criminal justice, crisis services, and population health systems.

During her career, Sharon has worked with numerous stakeholders in planning, developing and operating behavioral health crisis systems. She successfully led strategic partners to create and implement a multi-county, multi-hospital population health initiative to address chronic diseases and social determinants of health. This initiative improved health outcomes and reduced unnecessary health care costs in the hospital systems.

Sharon Lipford holds a Master of Social Work from the University of Maryland at Baltimore and is a Licensed Certified Social Worker-Clinical (LCSW-C). She has the privilege of supporting a county-wide crisis negotiation team as a mental health professional. She serves on the Board of Directors with the University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Health System, New Day Wellness Center (Peer Support), and the Harford County (Maryland) Public Library Foundation.
