As the healthcare industry continues to change, healthcare leaders are required to maintain their focus on access, coordinated care, quality improvement, satisfaction, and cost reduction. As NCQA began to create a toolkit to provide an overview of the Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) model and guide health centers nationally through the rigorous recognition process, and align the process with HRSA requirements, Social Determinants of Health and Medicaid programs, they partnered with Dr. Jenene Washington, a key leader in the field to provide the content for the toolkit.

Dr. Jenene Washington, Principal and Owner of Renaye James Healthcare Advisors, was tapped for her deep knowledge, experience and passion for this work.

The toolkit focuses on how the HRSA requirements of the nation’s Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) and other HRSA grantees are aligned with NCQA’s PCMH requirements, Medicaid requirements, and the Social Determinants of Health.

The toolkit was released by HRSA/NCQA on July 29, 2020.
