With excitement around Renaye James Healthcare Advisors’ continued growth, the company has established a Project Management Office (PMO) to support the broad range of federal, state, and community-based projects throughout their start-up, ongoing operations, and close-out.

Vice President of Programs, Alicia Berkowitz, is leading this program.

To ensure clients receive optimal project delivery and receive the same level of quality and consistency among multiple projects they might have with Renaye James Healthcare Advisors, the company incorporated targeted initiatives with clients in mind.

The PMO efforts align with Renaye James Healthcare Advisors’ strategic plan, and it also includes project and company key performance indicators, reflecting strategic plan goals. The PMO established processes and procedures, and created documents providing guidance, consistency, common methodologies, repeatable process, enhanced project coordination, and standards to projects.

After a company-wide orientation, new initiatives were phased-in with trainings, one-on-one discussions, and project management staff-specific forums. Among the many new initiatives launched over the past three months are

    • New project management and clinically focused templates
    • Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for working with clients and internal team members
    • Collaborative initiatives to improve communication and transparency among projects with the same client
    • New technologies for operational efficiencies
    • Sharing project best practices among projects
    • Enhanced partnership with the Creative Services team, including seasoned graphics and copy editing staff

All Renaye James Healthcare Advisors team members have been invited to PMO orientations and ongoing trainings, and they are encouraged to provide feedback.

To remain current on new PMO standards and to incorporate new approaches as the project management landscape evolves, the senior leadership in the PMO will continue to attend Project Management Institute trainings as well as other industry events related to PMOs.

The PMO is agile and will routinely assess its SOPs and guidance, with trainings, ongoing mentorship, and peer-to-peer learnings with Renaye James Healthcare Advisors project management staff and also clinical and content experts who serve as senior advisors in the company.

It’s a team effort — with everyone on board!
