Loretta Khangura, MPH, is the Health Informatics expert and advisor at Renaye James Healthcare Advisors. In this role, Loretta is responsible for leading data analytics and data governance projects. She keeps up to date on the current data analytic platforms healthcare organizations are utilizing and provides guidance on how to optimize those platforms, including NextGen, Athena Practice, and i2iTracks. Currently, Loretta provides health informatics expertise to help health centers capture and share data to improve care gaps identified by payors.

Loretta has worked as a nurse since graduating Salem State University, in Massachusetts, with a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing. Upon graduating, she went into the U.S. Peace Corps and traveled to Guatemala, working as a nurse. After the Peace Corps, Loretta worked as a nurse in Massachusetts and California.

In addition to her work at Renaye James Healthcare Advisors, Loretta is a HRSA subcontractor. In this role, she supports the HITECH federal program that provides Uniform Data Systems (UDS) reviews. Every winter (January through March), she works on this project as a reviewer of the reports for health centers within three locations — Louisiana, Republic of Palau, and U.S. Virgin Islands. Loretta also works on the Workforce Wellbeing Survey, which is a HRSA initiative to survey all community health center employees and use the results to improve the workforce experience and retention.
